uRemote

An iPhone/iPod touch native application which acts as a client to uTorrent’s webui. In practice, you can manage all your home torrents on the go. To use uRemote you must have a Windows PC running uTorrent and have the webui properly setup and accessible from Mobile Safari. It should work on local wifi or 3G/EDGE. Please keep in mind that the Mac version of uTorrent does not feature webui yet.

Installation:

  • Search Cydia (or Rockapp, or whatever you use) for uRemote.

Setup:

  • Lifehacker has a great tutorial on how to setup uTorrent’s webui for local and remote access;
  • After you confirm that it can be accessed from your iPhone Mobile Safari, all you have to do is fill in uRemote settings.

Update:

  • If you’re having trouble connecting (authentication needed) after a recent uTorrent update, please reset your uTorrent webui password.

Feedback and suggestions are always welcome:

Also, if you feel this application has been useful to you, please donate to keep me motivated developing it! :)
