After all the exciting new features pushed today by the blip.fm staff, there were a couple of changes to the API that weren’t exactly planned – so the Search function in Blipster stopped working.

This minor version is pretty much this: changes to conform to the new API, which brings back search.

There is also on the Search side, a interesting new field returned by the API: failCount. I’d suppose that is a counter of how many times that song has failed to play, so it will prove to be very helpful in the future.

Have fun!

  1. thanks for blipster!!! :)

    feature-request:
    *shortcut
*play from bottom to top or sort

  2. you can change playback order on settings. :)

  3. hi there,

    great work, keep it up!

    an obligatory ;-) feature-request:

we’d also like to have an option to ‘Scrobble *BLIPPED* [only] songs to Last.fm’ (rather than *all* played songs in Blipper)

    thanks again! )

  4. There are some songs that I cannot play. Is that what you mean by “can’t play songs hosted by blip.fm?” If so, what’s the alternative.

  5. This is fantastic, thank you!

  6. CD:

    Feature-request:
*Checkbox to put newly added songs first in the blip queue (it’s a pain to drag new songs that you wanna blip spontaneously first if you have a playlist with something like 500 queued songs).
*Button to edit blip details for the songs you have in the blip queue.

  7. Cristian:

I can’t listen mp3 and blip. Only video. It’s installed on Ubuntu 8.04.4. What is the problem?

  8. Micha:

    Hi Leo,

I just donated some money for your good work! :)
I have a feature-request as well: could you add a new blip-queue-intervall? Is 24 hours possible? Or a manual intervall?
    Thanks,
    Micha

  9. Jon:

Would it be possible to implement a pause button instead of a stop button for tracks you’re previewing?

It’s really annoying otherwise if you can’t let any slow loading tracks buffer up on a bad connection.

  10. saturnword:

    Hello.

Thank you for Blipster. I would like to inquire as to why I get an error whenever I try to retrieve any user’s reply blip list.

    Thank you.
